INTRODUCTION: Please Read my Home page before proceeding onto other pages!
In the past we have tried to make a distinction between animals which we acknowledge have some value and others which, having none, can be liquidated when we wish. This standard must be abandoned. Everything that lives has value simply as a living thing, as one of the manifestations of the mystery that is life.
Albert Schweitzer
It is a man's sympathy with all creatures that truly makes him a man. Until he extends his circle of compassion to all living things, man himself will not find peace

Welcome to my sacred space at Noble Pawz, home to an elite and majestic breed type. Regal dogs with a noble difference and distinction!
Our dogs are guaranteed to turn heads with their noble, wolf like appearance, and docile gentle giant dispositions.
Our Dogs are a rare breed in progress "The North American Noble Dog" these dogs are wolf like due to their heritage and careful selective breeding. Thus retain a highly wolfie appearance. Our dogs lineage go back to some of the oldest and most verifiable lines, they have several different breeds of dog within their making, the breed itself getting it's start in 1991. I talk about content levels and other important aspects on this site not to attached such to my own dogs , but due to so much ignorance revolving around such canines, and such vast experience. Our dogs bred for companions, are just that, DOGS NOT WOLVES Pure wolves are illegal for any of the public to own without licensing.
Every canine here is first and formost treated as a family member and not a caged breeding machine. (Any breeding is done very limitedly, on reserve.)
All the canines here are given the upmost in enrichment environmentally, emotionally, and physically. I am very proud of my facilities and work hard to ensure each canine is happy and healthy.
Once you experience this breed type as a companion and have prepared for such, you are addicted for life. (On the other hand if you have not completely prepared yourself, such a canine can be your worst nightmare, like any type of canine not thoroughly understood prior to attainment) This dogs majestic appearance and commitment to their owners enchant one upon first coming in contact with them, I know I have never looked back. At the same time adequate and due care must be painstakingly met on a breeders part in order to make the right placements, into the right environments, just as any other breed or breed type.

Take Note/Be Aware of dogs said to have Arctic Wolf in them! True Arctic wolves are VERY rare in captivity, and very few people actually have them. Such animals are owned and or placed with people whom are licensed for wolves, and know where the first wild lines originated from and have proof of such. Not just talk!Such places understand captive lines and would not use such special animals in some back yard wolfdog breeding program.
See pictures of True pure arctic wolves at A Wolf Adventure Take note of legend and eco's baby pics. Such places would not take such special animals and create wolfdogs out of them either
Some breeders will actually tell persepective buyers that the reason their white DOGS are white, or off white, and the parents give birth to white pups is due to the kind of wolf in the mix. They may say (with NO proof. Ask the breeder for TRACEABLE/verifiable proof to track on both sides of the parentage.) their white wolfdogs (dogs)are of an alaskan tundra, baffin island tundra, (NOT!) arctic heritage.(NOT) White *dogs* are white, are born white, and can give birth to white pups. This is a PURE dog trait , NOT a WOLF trait. (NO subspecies of wolf is born white) blue eyes is also a dog trait not a wolf trait. (So if you have a blue eyed white, or all white any colored eye, supposed wolfdog born in summer, fall or winter , and it is claimed to be true mid content or higher and is born in months other than early to late spring you were misled big time! It seems anyone whom claims to have a wolfdog and it is white automatically tells buyers it has Arctic or Tundra in it. (This is the biggest con job going) Anything mid content would mean it has a high content to pure parent, any true high content can only biologically breed during the same months as any pure, no other time of year, so if pups are said to be mid content born in the summer, fall or winter months, the pups are NOT mid content PERIOD! Even if the other parent is pure dog, nothing with enough wolf in it will be able to breed such a canine (dog) outside of their own biological programming.
Wolfdogs are NOT kids dogs: These are not *kids* dogs, if you want a larger pet for your kid get a dog such a well bred samoyed, or sibe if the child is young getting a smaller breed of dog. With so many not even able to handle golden retrievers these days attaining a canine with it's own unique and special needs than the average dog is just too much, so many wind up being dumped into rescue. These are not the kind of dogs to get if you have a macho complex, and not something you take into your life only to use, and breed as a business, we support our canine friends here, not the other way around. I do not make the statement they are not good kids pets because they are vicious animals, but because they are large and powerful animals and can be highly predatorial, the instincts that can be brought out in such a canine very easily, can be too much to expect a child to handle in their home environment. Many adults wouldnt have what it truly takes to be owned by one, and you ask of a child to understand them? (Shame on those people and breeders) This does not mean if you have a child in your home having such a canine cannot work either, *depending on the childs age and understanding level* and the lineage of the dog itself, but this calls for such HYPER vigilence, strict supervision at all times and PROPER containment for such a canine. It is not about what an adult wants, it should if you have a child or children they should be of first priority thus get a well bred dog that would make a more suitable canine pet in your household.
NOTE: A Word on The Types/and Subspecies of Wolves In The WolfDog: Many breeders out there dont even understand the TRUE subspecies of wolves and come up with wolf subspecies that dont exist like black arctic for example. Or they will simply say their wolfdog has certain types of wolf in the lineage with no proof of such, basically a made up pedigree to LOOK legit.

Disclaimer: My dogs though having wolf heritage are dogs one and the very same as to the domestic dog taxonomic reclassification canis lupus (var domestic)
If other people use the term wolfdog to describe anything other than what many wolfdogs are (depending on content level and lineage) in a selective breeding program ... DOGS this has no bearing on how I use the term. All dogs have wolf heritage of various degree. As with all breeds, and breed types my dogs have their own unique needs and requirements for care. Just as different as a German Shepherd is from a poodle, as a poodle is from an Alaskan Malamute and so on.
If you query (Like I have) Dr. Raymond Pierotti (please click on his name ) a well known, and acknowledged leading expert on wolfdogs and wolves, he will tell you what I tell you here about them becoming proto-type dogs again in as little as a few generations, with careful selection, and how, like I feel and via experience, that physical phenotyping is very subjective.
Through my experiences of working with hundreds of breeds and breed types, filial generations of wolfdogs all the way to pure wolves, I have come to find like Dr. Pierotti, it takes as little as a few generations of careful selection without introducing pure wolf into the line, to get back to what a dog is again proto type (or primitive dog type) behavior wise, while still retaining enough of a wolf like appearance. This belief via hands on experience led me to contact Dr. Pierotti to see what he had to say on the subject.
Dog meaning dogs such as nordic breeds such as CDN Eskimo dogs in behaviors. *more primitive* (Physical phenotyping) is too subjective as to what a dog or wolfdog may or may notbe.

The term hybrid is used almost exclusively to describe offspring arising from a crossing between two separate and genetically distinct species, whos offspring would be sterile (infertile)...wolves and dogs can breed freely and create offspring that as well can breed freely. Though In 1993, the Smithsonian and American Society of Mammalogists reclassified the dog from the classification of Canis familiaris to Canis lupus familiaris; (but one of a number of synonyms for canis lupus) *pierotti* making wolves (Canis lupus *Grey Wolf*) and dogs members of the same family. I should clarify that according to Dr. Pierotti this does not make familiaris a subspecies. The correct term according to Dr. Raymond Pierotti is canis lupus (var domestic) Essentially however if broken down the classification itself states domestic dogs are wolfdogs to some degree. Though the definition of hybrid also encompasses the meaning of cross breeding animals of mixed origin, the term has been notoriously administered in the past and still to present day, to the first definition I use above, to black list or demean dogs of wolf origin. Please go here http://www.nwcreation.net/dogsandwolves.html
Quote from Dr. Pierotti ((((Domestic dogs are not Canis lupus familiaris. This is a common error based upon the American Society of Mammalogists volume of Classification of Mammals published by Smithsonian Press. That book lists familiaris as one of a number of synonyms for Canis lupus that have been published over the years. This does not make familiaris a subspecies. The correct scientific designation for domestic dogs is Canis lupus (var domestic).))) ((((The Mammal Book (it is usually referred to as Roeder and Wilson after its authors) simply listed all of the Latin names that had ever been given to wolves by scientists. Since they were including domestic dogs as wolves, they listed familiaris as one of these synonyms. Several other synonyms were the names of subspecies, like tundrarum, lycaon, nubilis, etc, people started to get the idea that this meant that familiaris was simply another subspecies (even **** **** has made this mistake). This is incorrect however, because familiaris is a grab-bag classification of highly variable animals with almost certain multiple origins. You cannot have either a species or a subspecies with multiple origins according to modern systematics, so familiaris no longer exists as a valid scientific name and domestic is simply a variety.)))) end quote *pierotti*
wd's are not exotic or wild, however the owner of this site does NOT endorse irresponsible and unthoughtful breeding/and placement of a canine that is a high needs animal, and due care should be taken to ensure the right placements according to the animals unique needs.

The animals pictured on this site, are NOT pure wolves. So please do not enquire with me to purchase *wolf* pups, when you write to me. There is a CLEAR distinction between pure WOLVES and many dogs with wolf heritage (wolfdogs) in a selective breeding program, and most wouldn't know if either bit them in the butt.
Final Note: We absolutely unequivocally, do NOT endorse, nor participate in any breeding or selling *pure* wolves as pets and placing into private homes as such. This site is about our dogs with wolf heritage only, and such *dogs* can be placed in unlicensed private homes if the homes are qualified, and are legal, please read sentence above. Pure wolves however are wild animals, and are what they are, this cannot be changed regardless of raising, even if one attains fairly good tractability over time. There are old lines in existence where it is wolfdog to wolfdog breeding, and they are in a selective breeding program like any other breed.Wolves are highly illegal to own unless you are licensed
