Policies

Please Read Carefully!

My policy here are Noble Pawz in all my canines is to produce a  beautiful, stable, healthy puppy. One you can laugh with, live with and most importantly cherish as a family member for all it's life.  I have some policies below to help someone better understand whether they will qualify and be taken into consideration for one of my pups. Noone knows *my* animals better than me, how others choose to speak about dogs with wolf heritage in general terms is their perogative, and no doubt they will have conflicting opinions from my own.

 Breeding Environment

I do not operate a **kennel** here, and I am in fact *heavily opposed to the way the majority of kennels seem to be run * as a buisness.*  I have companion animals (they have large habitats and are in *pairs*  for each enclosure, )  I wanted to be an occasional, and responsible available source of wonderful pups to the right home. I do not chain my dogs, nor do I sell any pups to places that will.

If possible pick your baby up from the breeders home.  Larger unsanitary kennel situations put your puppy at risk for kennel cough, giardia, coccidia, parvo and other nasty bugs/diseases/parasites.  If a breeder tries to tell you that the dogs are happy like that USE your common sense!  If your gut says something is wrong upon arrival to the the facility (looks unsanitary)  listen to your gut, even if means walking away from the sale.

I am a fanatic clean nut when it comes to my grounds.  When pups are born, they are heavily guarded from any public access. Any close friends that may come over to visit, have their shoes sprayed down with disinfectant, and their hands thoroughly washed.

I do not allow people simply wanting to browse, onto my land. Some people travel around from one breeders home to the next, tracking deadly diseases along with them infecting young puppies whose immune systems have not fully developed. I have never had Parvo or any other such disease, and never do want it thus I put prevention policies in place.

It's a scary place out there for buyers!

A Buyer should not have to worry about getting a puppy infested with parasites, giardia, fleas, or many other numerous problems so many places seem to be afflicted with out there these days. At NoblePawz the upmost care is taken to ensure you receive a healthy puppy and they are given a health cert. prior to going home with you.  Pups are dewormed 3 times before going home with you, and are health cleared.

Please do NOT support puppy mills and facilities that treat their canines as money makers. or the breeder has a collecting problem with animals.

In my talks with one yorkie breeder, she said she battled coccidia for years in her yorkie **kennel** and it was the worst experience of her life when she had it, it spreads like wildlife in kennel situations.  She stopped breeding and down sized from her large kennel to simply having a few yorkies in her home.  This is when she was truly able to rid herself of the bug, she was able to disinfect properly and the animals were not consistently reinfected from the grounds.

A responsible breeder will do their upmost to ensure only healthy puppies are received by their new guardians. Please read here for info. on but one particular common bug out there

COCCIDIA

Coccidia are  microscopic parasites which live within cells of the intestinal lining, they are a single-cell protozoan that colonize and quickly attack the lining of the dog's intestine.   Coccidia live in the intestinal tract and cause profuse diarrhea, this can lead very quickly to even death, if not caught quick enough in young pups.   It is primarily found in situations where dogs are kept in over crowded, unhygienic conditions, symptoms of  infection include appetite and weight loss, and diarrhea with mucus(sometimes accompanied by blood in the stool as the infection progresses) The eggs of this parasite which are passed in the dog's feces, are spread to new host animals when they are ingested during self-grooming. Although Coccidiosis can be fatal in puppies, mature dogs tend to eventually build up immunity to this parasite.

Symptoms may not occur unless the pup's resistance has been lowered by stress,  malnutrition, immunosuppression.

Coccidiosis is a serious problem in very young pups that are overstressed by crowding, and poor sanitation.  Outbreaks often occur in puppies that are shipped due to the stress and trauma.  Puppies acquire the infection from contaminated premises or from their mother if she is a carrier.

The first sign is mild diarrhea (looser stools)  and continues to worsen until the feces become mucus-like and sometimes tinged with blood.  Dogs that recover become carriers.

Diagnosis is made via microscopic examinations of stool samples. Treatment is usually with sulfa drugs. In order to keep infection from recurring, it is essential that hygiene standards are raised, crowding is reduced and that all bedding and food bowls are disinfected.

Applications

I do not sell any of my pups no questions asked, the potential buyer must fill out a pre-approval application form consisting of  personal questions to allow me to see more into your world, and where one of my pups will be living. This also allows me to match up the right pup for your home environment and lifestyle.

Temp. Testing

I do temperament testing prior to any of my pups leaving, to best help match up new pup to new parent. No two families/people are at the exact same spot in life and within themselves, when it comes to experiences of different personalities and temperaments in dog breeds and types. Thus what one family/person may be able to handle another may not.  I examine all aspects including whether there are children or not.

Breeding

Breeding should only be undertaken to better a breed type as a whole and not based on someone trying to make money, or breeding because they like the looks of an animal.  This is but one of the reasons I sell my pups on spay /neuter agreements.

To sell a pup only for someone else to turn around and breed this animal to anything desired does a great diservice to the breed type as a whole.  I have never been a part of adding to the rescue problem out there and won't start now.  I put a ton of time energy and money into my family members, and certainly will never place them into a position where they will ever fall victim to exploitation.  Millions of dogs die every single year due to irresponsible breeders and owners.

I have not even broached the topic of hormonal aggression which can commonly occur in intact animals.

Qualifications

1) Must own your own home.

2) Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment, and care for a large canine.

3) Have proper containment (NO flimsy welded fencing,(welded stock/hog panels are acceptable if not in the city) invisible fencing, cable runs/chaining allowed!)  Fencing MUST be a MINIMUM of 6 feet in height, however if only 6 feet in height, this cannot serve as the main unsupervised containment, either a 6 foot tall pen with a roof and dig proofing (or 7-8 foot tall pen)  must be built within the 6 foot tall main yard, or current fencing improved and built taller (7-8 feet tall) this breed can, given incentive,  jump straight up 8 feet from a stand still.)   Building the right kind of enclosure will give owners peace of mind, that the animals will still be there when they come home, having not escaped. For those folks who live on an acreage/in the country only (not in residential areas) 8 foot tall high tensile game fencing is acceptable for proper containment. For *my pups*  7 feet tall staight up wooden or chain link is sufficient.

If someones back yard is only 6 feet tall, having a secondary escape proof chain link pen inside the main yard area is recommended for when you leave your yard. You can safely lock the dog inside and not worry he /she has gotten out while you were gone, or the dog stolen/let out of the yard. This is peace of mind, and you can allow the pup out once you are home and can supervise. The pen must be big enough for the pups dog house and either be roofed or tall enough to prevent jumping/climbing out.

4) Containment must have digouts (can be cement flooring, cement dig-guards, or using four to five foot tall fencing laid down along the ground around the inside peremiter of the fencing and attached via hog rings or weaved tension wire (can be bought in huge rolls at any hardware store) PLEASE NOTE!! regular pliers cannot be used very effectively on hog rings, specialty hog ring pliers should be used, if you cannot find any contact me I can bring in a pair for you for fairly cheap, or point you to where you can buy a pair.  (Also only use the 9 gage hog rings on attaching the fencing the cheaper gage are simply not tough enough)

5) My pups are sold as companion animals to homes that may have another dog or few, they can however excel as onlys in a family where everything is done with them and are trained. I will not allow them to be sold to homes however where the person/people have so many animals my pup will not get the attention as a family member they deserve. I do not support puppy mills!

6) Even if you have all of the above: It still may not necessarily qualify you, as you also need to have all the right temperament traits in order to match up with a canine like this, so they don't get dumped or abused.  Please go to my care and containment page for more info. to test yourself.

If you have but a few of the things above and do not feel not qualified, please don't feel intimidated.  Feel free to still contact me, I can provide ideas and suggestions how to qualify, I tell people it is NO RUSH to attain such a canine and timing is key for things to transition and work out smoothly, for all the parties best interests.

Please read my care and containment page and then go to my

application/pre-approval page if you are seriously interested in filling out a form.

PLEASE NOTE:  DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE IF BUYER BACKS OUT! IT TAKES A LOT OF TIME AND ENERGY TO FIND THE RIGHT BUYERS THUS ALL MONIES PAID UP TIL BACK OUT ARE FORFEITED OR BUYER HAS OPTION OF TRANSFERRAL TO ANOTHER LITTER
